In the small village of Bo Hou,符永吉和周莎 work together as village doctors. One goes house to house to treat patients while the other works at the clinic. Fu Yongji's patience and medical skills have earned him the trust of the villagers, while Zhou Sha's expertise in pain-free injections and emergency care has challenged traditional biases against female doctors.

Once, when a pregnant woman was giving birth on a dirt road outside the village, Zhou Sha immediately rushed to the scene with her medical bag. The couple worked together to ensure a safe delivery for the mother.

To further enhance local healthcare, city-level medical experts regularly visit Bo Hou village to provide specialized care. This initiative ensures villagers can receive expert-level treatment without the need for long-distance travel.

The government has also implemented policies to reduce the financial burden on patients. Essential medications like metformin are now more affordable, costing just over one yuan per bottle. These measures not only improve access to healthcare but also increase the willingness of villagers to seek treatment.
